It is unthankful to spend September’s Sunday in any Italian city we passed through until now. As much as we are short in time to reach where we want, that much we had it more than enough today. I say that it is unthankful because absolutely nothing is working and there is no living being on the streets. Today was also raining so we couldn’t go to the beach. Today we were counting trains from our hotel room.
We had croissant and cappuccino for breakfast and then we went to laundry (yes, at least we were useful). We washed our laundry!!! Successfully, all together, light t-shirts and socks together with colorful jerseys and riding gloves and nothing was destroyed. I am especially happy for that.
While we were waiting for our laundry to dry we ate cookies with wild strawberries. After that we had a little walk, and that would be all. We still have sour muscles from yesterday’s kilometer and a half climb.
We just got back from delicious dinner at local market. Prize question: who ate arancini, roasted eggplant and orange and red onion salad, and who ate bolognese? The fastest person to respond will win his name written in the sand on the beach by his own choice!
We hope for quick and cheap bike repair tomorrow, for morning ferry, two-digit number of kilometers and sleeping in the tent.
